Inbound Sales Consultant

The Sales Consultant is responsible for assisting both local and overseas clients with booking their holidays in the Cook Islands. This includes handling reservations for accommodation, flights, meals, tours, and attractions while delivering a high standard of customer service and contributing to the overall sales performance of the team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

•   Handling online and direct reservation enquiries, providing quotations, and following up on sales leads.
•   Promoting company products and services enthusiastically to drive sales.
•   Ensuring all enquiries are acknowledged on the same day and all replies are sent within 24 hours.
•   Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
•   Developing and maintaining an active network of prospects through online channels, including social media platforms
•   Accurately using the Tourplan reservations system and other software tools to manage bookings.
•   Assisting with administrative support for the Operations Manager as required.
•   Implementing best practice quality management processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
•   Working rostered shifts, including some weekends, as required.
•   Performing other reasonable duties as directed by the employer.

What we are looking for:
•   Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Cook Islands tourism industry.
•   Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and internet-based booking systems (Tourplan experience is an advantage).
•   Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
•   Exceptional customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
•   Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
•   Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
•   Motivated, mature, and professional in attitude.
•   Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
